Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk says from 1am Thursday, Queensland will close to local government areas of Sydney CBD, Woolhara, Bayside, Canada Bay, Inner West, Randwick in addition to the already-declared Waverly Council area.

Queenslanders returning from those areas from 1am tomorrow will have to go into hotel quarantine and anyone else who has been to those areas will have to seek an exemption to enter the state and will also have to quarantine if they are granted that exemption.
