10 Iconic Costumes That Are Impossible To Take Off

Subscribe:

Seeing our favorite actors dress up in extravagant costumes is part of the reasons why we love movies so much! It’s amazing how makeup artists can completely transform people into these iconic characters with legendary costumes. But one thing that we don’t really think about is how much work goes into the costume, both to put it on and take it off. For a lot of actors, once the makeup is dry and the suit is just right, there’s no escape. You can’t really take it off for food or bathroom breaks or else that will require more work to fix.

So today’s video is all about some of the most iconic movie costumes that were extremely difficult to take off. Of course, the prime example is Vision, played by Paul Bettany in the MCU. Bettany went from voicing JARVIS to having one of the most complex MCU costumes out of any hero, which must have been a strange change of pace! But of course there are other examples. You’ll be shocked when you hear what Jennifer Lawrence had to do in order to go to the bathroom when she played Mystique in the X-Men films. You’ll feel sorry for Oscar Isaac after you hear about his tortuous turn as Apocalypse in the disappointing X-Men: Apocalypse, and you’ll be thankful that you weren’t one of the actors wearing a turtle suit in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

It’s going to get hot and sweaty here as we talk about movie costumes so grab your portable AC and your protein shake, because we’re about to get started, right now!
