SPOILER WARNING: There will be some The Suicide Squad spoilers in this video.
So, even though we knew there was going to be an offshoot series based on the Lover of Liberty/Douchey Captain America ahead of time, with James Gunn returning to write and direct, the post credits scene from The Suicide Squad that showed The Invisible Man’s character alive and well, was still pretty darn shocking. But one thing it does do is open up a ton of possibilities as to what the plot of the show will be. The HBO Max series has finished filming in British Columbia and is set to head to the streaming platform for January 2022, but there have still been little plot details about the series or a trailer. While Mr Invisible and Gunn have both said it will be crazy (and after watching The Suicide Squad I don’t doubt them) we don’t know where, what and when it’s about and when it takes place in the DCEU timeline. But, of course we have some theories and speculation as to what could happen in the series, because you know, like crazy offbeat humor and violence is James Gunn’s bread and butter, speculating on upcoming shows and movies is ours.
Therefore then we will take a look at some potential plotlines that might happen in the show and when it might take place in the grand scheme of things. From potential big name villains, the follow-up of Project Starfish, Christopher Smith’s relationship with his father and how he became the character we know today, a whole new Taskforce X, ties to Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, the return of some familiar faces such as Weasel and Killer Croc, the introduction of a brand new vigilante, to him going up against the thing he loves the most – Liberty. So let’s get speculating shall we!
