The Adrian Police Department is seeking help from the public to find witnesses to an incident that occurred Sunday. In a press release that was pushed out just after 9am on Monday morning, the Department indicates an assault occurred on Sunday just before 1:00pm in front of their offices.
During the protest that was happening, a suspect driving a large pickup truck engaged with the protestors. The release indicates that this led to a physical altercation. The suspect has since been identified. “If you were a witness to this altercation,” says the release “we need your statement.”
Due to the large number of potential witnesses, a detective has been assigned to assist the officers investigating this case. Witnesses can email their statements to [email protected]. The release asks that you include your name, address and telephone number with your statement. “We can contact you if we need to clarify your statement or ask any additional questions.”
