Philadelphia Police say that a teenager has been hospitalized after he was shot in West Philadelphia.
At this point no arrests have been made and no weapon has been recovered in the incident.
The shooting occurred just prior to 3pm on the 5500 block of West Girard Avenue.
Authorities confirmed that the 17-year-old boy was shot only once.
He was transported to Presbyterian Hospital and reported as being in stable condition once there.
There is no known motive for the shooting at this point.
