Authorities searching for a missing fisherman in Australia’s Queensland have found human remains.
Officials now say they believe he may have been attacked by a crocodile.
The man, who is 69-years-old, went missing on Thursday. His damaged overturned boat was found Friday morning.
Wildlife crews are searching for a crocodile in the area, and locals have been asked to report any sightings.
The area he went missing in is referred to as “Croc Country” by locals and officials.
Fishermen who use waterways in the region are advised to avoid using canoes and kayaks due to the danger.
Experts have now publicly said that it is “highly likely” that a crocodile was involved.
