The two Tampa techies who dressed up as life-sized iPhones last year have new and improved costumes for this Halloween.
Savio is a Mac maniac, so he’s sticking with the iPhone, but it’s the brand new model — the iPhone 4. “It has the front camera. It has a thinner design,” he said.
It also has a flash on the back. You can play Pac Man, check Facebook, or practice the piano. And getting around in the costume is much easier than last year’s version.
“It’s kind of the magic behind the costume. ‘How does a human get in there?’ A battery, a TV, an inverter to run the electronics … It’s like, it just does,” said Savio.
As for Rivera, he thinks his costume is a first. He put together a mobile DJ costume.
“I’ve never seen anybody else do it before,” said Rivera.
It features surround sound speakers, turntables, lights, and his music at the touch of a button.
“Pretty much, anywhere I could go, it’s going to be a good time. It’s a party all the time, 24-7 around me,” said Rivera who works as a DJ around Tampa.
Wherever these two go they will get noticed. John’s even got a Segway to ride around on. But they will not square off in any costume contest. Rivera is staying in Tampa. While Savio will take the new iPhone to the Orlando area.
