BTS, AMA ‘페이보릿 팝 듀오 오어 그룹’ 3년 연속 수상
BTS has so far picked up two awards at this year’s American Music Awards.
America’s largest music ceremony is taking place right now,.. and all eyes are on whether the group can hit another milestone as the first K-pop artists to win Artist of the Year.

Mokyeon, BTS has added the Favorite Pop Song award to their AMAs tally,… following their win in the Favorite Pop Duo or Group category a little earlier,.. their third time in a row to pick up that award.
BTS’ mega-hit “Butter”, which sat on top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for ten weeks,… was one of the five candidates for Favorite Pop Song.
The boyband is performing the Billboard-winning song at the show.
And they are also joined by British rock band, Coldplay, for their first ever live joint performance of “My Universe”.
BTS has taken home at least one award at every AMA since first being nominated in 2018. But this year, many are waiting for good news regarding the grand prize, am I right?
That’s right Mok-yeon. BTS became the first artist, not only from Korea but from Asia,… to ever make the cut in the Artist of The Year category.
The grand prize is arguably the highlight of the fan-voted AMAs.
Other nominees include Drake, the Weeknd, Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift.
We are still waiting for the results to come out, but a clean sweep would be the cherry on top of an already amazingly successful 2021 for the band.
BTS already made history at the Billboard Music Awards in May,… after winning four trophies thanks to their hit song “Dynamite”.
All eyes are also on whether BTS will once again be among the Grammy nominations,… which will be announced on the 24th Korea Time.
