The EDD has changed their requirements in order to receive retroactive payment and backdate your unemployment or pandemic unemployment claim. Upon applying, the California EDD will no longer automatically issue you a backdated claim start date. In order to receive retroactive payments including receiving the $600 FPUC boost for weeks ending 3/25-7/29 you must apply to have your claim backdated with a start date as early as 2.2
