Dr Disrespect posted a clip of his epic rant to twitter after he died in a game of Apex Legends, calling the game boring, unwatchable, and just an exercise in endlessly shooting shields. Doc broke down in fake tears at one point, yelling about how the game was unwatchable and that is why Apex Legends esports failed, because no one just wants to see players shoot shields all day.
Doc said without the threat of one shot kills, the end game was just people in gold and purple armor camping doorways, shooting shields, and waiting for everyone else to just die to the gas. Dr Disrespect may have a point, as Apex Legends esports has certainly fallen extremely far since its inception, but whether that is due to boring gameplay or just the rise of Warzone is a little hard to pinpoint.
Other streamers like Nickmercs and Courage, seem to be loving a return to Apex legends, with both grinding towards predator in recent days after taking a break from Warzone. And even Doc pulled a 180 a day later, saying he loved the game, so maybe the return of Apex Legends is really here.
