The European Union has two months at best — to get the migration crisis under control — according to the president of the European Council — Donald Tusk. He says failure to control the influx of refugees and migrants — could mean the end of the Schengen Agreement — the system which allows freedom of movement — without passports — across 26 member states. More than 23,000 people have been smuggled — from Turkey into Europe — so far this year — that’s three times more — than in the whole of last January. The EU has pledged over 2 billion pounds in aid for Turkey — to help combat people smuggling. But as our special correspondent Fergal Keane reports from the Turkish port of Izmir — that hasn’t stopped the criminal gangs determined to make more money from the crisis.
