I’ve tried all of the live TV streaming services, including YouTube TV, DirecTV Now, Sling TV, Philo and AT&T WatchTV. Hulu with Live TV is my favorite because it has a great mix of channels and on-demand content.
When it first launched, I had issues with buffering and error messages. However, I signed up for Hulu with Live TV again in late 2018 and it has performed very well ever since with my 60 Mbps internet connection. On its website, Hulu says you need at least 8 Mbps for a high-quality streaming experience. You can test your internet connection at speedtest.net or speedof.me.
If you’re thinking about cutting the cord, sign up for a free trial of Hulu with Live TV and see if you like it before you cancel cable. If you don’t like it, cancel before the trial is up and test out the other services until you find one that you really like. Many services have plans around $50 a month. If you can avoid the add-ons, you’ll save a lot of money.
