Tesla is now using the word ‘restaurant’ in a trademark application for its brand, a sign it is taking steps to make good on a promise it made publicly since at least 2017. CEO Elon Musk has been talking about this idea publicly for at least two years now. And the filing with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on May 27 was first reported by Electrek, listing three new trademarks that will cover “restaurant services, pop-up restaurant services, self-service restaurant services, and takeout restaurant services.”
