The City of Adrian Police Department confirmed that an individual had turned himself in Monday evening. The Lenawee County Prosecuting Attorney issued a 2 count misdemeanor warrant for Assault & Battery on the suspect earlier in the day.
He was allegedly involved in an altercation in front of 155 Eeast Maumee St. during the protest there on Sunday. The 45-year-old male turned himself in and was issued a personal recognizance bond and scheduled to appear for arraignment at the 2A District Court on June 30th.
The Department put out an initial press release indicating that an assault may have occurred just before 1:00pm in front of their offices. The suspect, a man driving a large pickup truck, engaged with the protestors. The release indicates that this led to a physical altercation.
