Another awesome day trolling Marion Reef, Unbelievable fishing with GT’s, Plenty of Dogtooth and a Beaut Yellowfin Tuna. Trolling the reef edges is a great way to cover ground and find fish, but we didn’t have to go far with multiple strikes and hook ups, the sharks were fierce and we payed Plenty of Reef tax. Ian was lucky enough to even pick up a Dogtooth Tuna off the bottom on a Paternoster rig which had a legal size coral Trout in it’s stomach and the tail protruding from it’s gullet, and still wanted more, an amazing catch and led to it’s downfall.
Marion Reef is one of those Bucket list destinations and the Trip of a lifetime, Thanks to Norval fishing charters, Make sure you check it out.
