Remembering An American Hero: Martin Luther King Jr.

It’s been almost 60 years since Martin Luther King Jr. made his infamous ‘I Have A Dream’ speech.

An outspoken activist, King was on the executive committee for the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.

King fought arrest, retaliation and abuse in an effort to make the world a better place for all people.

He is best known for his ‘I Have A Dream’ speech, delivered during the 1963 March on Washington.

King spoke of his hopes that his ‘four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the colour of their skin, but by the content of their character.’
