New York Times Crossword, Friday 4/2/21:
Incredibly smooth fill for a Friday; I suspect that many folks will be able to set PBs on this one (I wasn’t so far off mine). The stacks in the NW and SE are really nice. ANIMALFARM/BONGJOONHO/IVEMOVEDON is a really really great stack, crossing AJOBWELLDONE (which it really was). Also love the word FUTZED (even though I originally had PUTZED).

Standout cluing for ELEMENT (He or I, but not you?) and MGM (Grand opening for a casino?). I actually wish there could have been some more tricky/punny cluing. A lot of the cluing was pretty straightforward for a Friday, and I like my Friday puzzles to fight back a little bit more than this. That said, can’t complain about the very clean grid.
