This video will train you to develop your listening skills fast! But it is essential that you follow all the steps outlined in the video. Don’t skip any exercises!
Today we are going to work on a funny and true news story for Beginning to Intermediate Spanish learners. The structures are in line with those that you see in levels A2 to B1 in the DELE standards. The pace of Speech is natural, in other words, very fast for non-native Spanish speakers. The key is not to simplify the audio that you will hear or translate for you everything you hear, because that’s not real life speech. No, the key is not to simplify what you hear, but actually create activities to enable you to understand fast-paced spoken speech.
To achieve that, this exercise has three different stages. You will go from understanding very little to getting everything said in the video.
STAGE 1: GETTING THE GIST
In this first stage, you will watch the video twice to get a feel of what is going on.

STAGE 2: WATCHING FOR DETAILS
In this section, you will focus on getting more details about the story. You will have to answer specific questions about the story.
STAGE 3: PUSHING YOUR LIMITS
This stage is not for the faint of heart, but that can take you to the next level_ fast! On stage 3 you will have to understand every detail of what is being said.
