I was watching YouTube videos on my tablet and I got a notification, from unbox therapy. the comment said congratulations “you have been selected among out shortlisted winner”. (yeah I know bad grammar dead giveaway!) honestly I almost fell for it because it appeared to have came from their channel. on the comment it also said WhatsApp and left the number for me to contact them.
They told me I won an Asus phone an iPhone 12 and some hoodies. I was excited until they asked me to send them $150 for the shipping.
at that point red flags started to go up in my mind so I decided to Google it and sure enough I found out that unbox therapy addressed this on Twitter explaining that it is a scam.
anyways I just made this video to warn others. If you’re told to pay something to get something 99.9% of the time it’s a scam don’t do it!
