Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh is pushing for college football players to have the ability to enter the NFL draft whenever they would like to. He also is pushing for players who go unselected in the draft to be allowed to return to their school. Harbaugh wrote an open letter Thursday that was addressed to the “College Football Community.”
In the letter he laid out a proposal that would provide additional flexibility for players considering making the jump to pro football despite still having college eligibility. Harbaugh said that he is hoping his letter will fuel a conversation about the need for change. It’s a pretty well thought out set of propositions.
His full letter can be read just below in the embedded tweet.
