Just a warning, the video in this article has the full play, and it is not fun to watch. The Dallas Cowboys star QB suffered a gruesome ankle injury that left his foot hanging sideways in the 3rd quarter of Sunday’s game.
Prescott has been diagnosed with a compound fracture and dislocated ankle, which will of course require surgery to repair. He will be off his feet for quite some time, and will have a long road of recovery.

Prescott’s brother Tad shared this image of him and Dak from his hospital bed. It was good for the league to see a smile on Dak Prescott’s face after the last image NFL fans had of it was full of tears.
Here’s hoping he can recover and once again play in the NFL. Hopefully he can draw inspiration from Alex Smith, who just took his first snaps after 690 days away from the league. You can watch the full clip below:
